The Reserve Bank of Australia has left the monetary policy unchanged but decreased its economic expectations due to global economic decline, decrease in housing prices and uncertainty with personal spendings.

Australian trade balance was positive again in December and the reading was better than the previous one.

GBP

British services PMI was lower than expected and the indicator was one of reasons for GBP to decline on Tuesday.

USD

FOMC member Kaplan has mentioned on Tuesday that more certainty is needed before the FOMC will take another hawkish decision. Kaplan expects to get this “certainty” in the first half of the year.
